At the end of the lesson students will be able to identify the reasons that led to the U.S. involvement in the Persian Gulf War and the Invasion of Afghanistan. Students will view several videos and take notes from a presentation. Pay attention to the notes from today's class. Monday you will learn about the third war, Operation Iraqi Freedom. Students will read the "Why was Israel created as a Jewish state in 1948?" DBQ Background Essay. The students will be tasked with creating a one sentence summaries as well as hashtags for each paragraph; identifying Students will then identify the three main reasons that led to the creation of Israel. Students will also analyze one document from the DBQ project.
