A week of CNN10! 1st Period and 5th Period- Synchronous Live Opening: Today will be a review or catch up lesson to cover the last three class periods. We will review Colonialism, Independence Movements, and Pan-Africanism in Africa. Asynchronous: Students will be able to use this time to complete any assignments from the last three class periods that they have yet to complete. We will learn about African Nationalism/Independence Movements, specifically for the countries of Nigeria and Kenya. Students will complete a Double Bubble Map (compare and contrast), on the two countries. Students will then read about Pan-Africanism (Pan-African Movement). After reading they will complete a Multi-Flow Map (cause and effect), about the factors that led to Pan-Africanism and what were the results and/or goals of this movement. At the end of each lesson, students will complete two separate ticket out-the-door/over-the-internet.
