Advisement Class- STEAM Day! Activity to be Announced! 1st Period and 5th Period- Synchronous Live Opening: Today's focus is on the religion of Islam. The teacher will check for previous knowledge of religions by having students complete a bubble map with the information they already know and share together as a class. The teacher may show the first two minutes of BrainPOP video introducing religion in general https://www.brainpop.com/socialstudies/culture/religion/ The teacher will then run a live Nearpod session about Islam. Students will have an organizer in which they must fill in with facts about the religions. The Nearpod will include a Flocabulary rap video introducing the religions, a PowerPoint detailing their origins, and an outline of the Abrahamic Genealogy Tree. Furthermore, students will watch informative videos explaining some of the traditions and beliefs.
