Advisement Class- Today is "Reading for Enjoyment!" Have your favorite or current book handy and lets drop everything and read! I will be reading "Cultivating Genius", by Dr. Ghouldy Muhammad. Remember, there are REP points to be earned for being prepared with your own book! 1st Period and 5th Period- Synchronous Live Opening: Today we are continuing our unit on African History. We will learn about African Nationalism/Independence Movements, specifically for the countries of Nigeria and Kenya. Students will complete a Double Bubble Map (compare and contrast), on the two countries. Students will then read about Pan-Africanism (Pan-African Movement). After reading they will complete a Multi-Flow Map (cause and effect), about the factors that led to Pan-Africanism and what were the results and/or goals of this movement. At the end of each lesson, students will complete two separate ticket out-the-door/over-the-internet.
